GEN1 is an AI-first business dedicated to empowering the world to build. We're uniting frontier Artificial Intelligence with vertically integrated manufacturing capacity, so that anyone can design and build structures ranging from functional, purpose-built spaces to enduring, architect-grade homes.
We’re a multidisciplinary team of engineers and operators who have founded, scaled, and exited both venture-backed and bootstrapped businesses. We are well-capitalized through a combination of founder capital and hand-picked investors that are aligned with our vision and values, many of whom have invested in our prior businesses. Our investors include domain experts in manufacturing, autonomy and automation, AI, and construction.
The opportunity
Residential construction labor demand is climbing three times faster than supply, while climate-driven disasters and persistent inflation have driven costs to record highs. In the United States, recovery from major events takes years, underscoring the urgent need to improve resiliency and strengthen our nation’s construction backbone.
